TOKYO : Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) has been recognized as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” in the Supplier Engagement Rating (hereinafter “SER”) conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organization. The selection is based on Toshiba Group’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout its value chain.
SER is an assessment of responses to selected questions closely related to supplier engagement in CDP’s annual corporate climate change action survey. CDP aims to assess the engagement efforts of purchasing organizations and companies with suppliers on GHG emissions and climate change strategies, and to accelerate efforts to reduce emissions in the global supply chain. The assessment is conducted based on four key items in the CDP climate change questionnaire : governance, targets, Scope 3 management, and supplier engagement.
