MUMBAI: Global Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) giant, TÜV SÜD, today announced a new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the South Asia region. To that effect, Suresh Kumar has been elevated to the new role and will continue to report to Niranjan Nadkarni, CEO of South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region.
The announcement follows a series of realignment decisions that revamped the management structure of TÜV SÜD at a global level. This resulted in the formation of a new region comprising of countries from four sub-regions, ASEAN, South Asia, Middle East and Africa. With this consolidation, the heads of all the four sub-regions, will report to Niranjan Nadkarni. This move is aimed to facilitate efficient cross-region functioning to drive efficiencies, better results and accelerate growth.
Suresh Kumar, in his new role, will be responsible for operations and sales across all divisions in the sub-region that comprises of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Suresh will work closely with all divisions in South Asia markets to drive robust strategic planning and business development. Ezhilan Neelan will now take over Suresh’s most recent role of Senior Vice President of Product Services at TÜV SÜD South Asia and continue to lead Bangladesh as the country director.
