TVS Motors showcases strength in green technology at the Auto Expo
NEW DELHI: TVS showcases for the Auto Expo 2018 were dominated by vehicles powered by green technologies.
It unveiled the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol that is powered by ethanol, a fuel domestically produced from renewable plant sources that helps reduce greenhouse gases.
Showcasing its vision of the future mobility solutions it also unveiled the TVS Creon, an electric scooter Concept with a range of 80 km. A one time charge of 60 minutes for 80% of full charge is on par with current generation smartphones, leaving little idle time for charging, a release by the company said.
TVS has come together with Intel to provide connected technology platform in the Creon. “TVS MotorBSE 2.51 % and Intel have worked together to transform urban mobility with a product line of smart-connected gadgets on energy efficient two wheelers,” Vinay Harne, president- new product development, TVS Motor CompanyBSE 2.51 % said.
The third vehicle showcased by the company was TVS Zeppelin, a cruiser motorcycle concept of a 220cc engine that will compete with the Xpulse200 that Hero unveiled in the exhibition.
