Ultimate Sun Systems adds 500kW capacity to rooftop solar PV plant at the MM College of Engineering, Mullana
The expansion to existing 1 MW plant at MM University, Mullana will cause a 14,000+ ton reduction in carbon emissions over the project life of 25+ years
New Delhi, 6th November, 2017: Ultimate Sun Systems, an MNRE Channel Partner company and a pioneer in the field of renewable energy solutions, has installed and commissioned a 500kW expansion to the existing 1mW rooftop solar plant at the Maharishi Markandeshwar Engineering College in Mullana, Ambala. The expansion is a grid-tied rooftop solar PV system, generating 750,000 kWh of electricity every year. This project follows the company’s success in completing the 1mW rooftop solar plant at the MM University. The project has been sanctioned and approved by SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India), which has provided 30% subsidy to the project.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. B.S. Yadav, Managing Director, Ultimate Sun Systems, commented, “After finishing the initial 1mW plant in only 45 days, we have again surpassed expectations by completing the expansion in only 18 days. The additional 1564 solar panels and the 10 inverters installed at MM College of Engineering, Mullana, will lead to a substantial reduction in carbon emissions, which would be the equivalent of planting over 22,000 teak trees, while substantially reducing the cost of energy.
