UP govt to give subsidy on roof top solar panel

Lucknow: Installing rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential consumers will become more affordable in Uttar Pradesh as the state government has announced a subsidy of Rs 15,000/kW for the development of rooftop solar projects on Wednesday.
According to an official of New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (NEDA) here a subsidy of Rs 15,000 / kW for the development of rooftop solar projects in the state will be provided to residential consumers
If a single project is 3 kW, the subsidy provided would be capped at Rs 30,000. The NEDA official said that this subsidy will be in addition to the 30 per cent central financial assistance provided by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
