Job Description

1. Oversee all Operation and Maintenance operations of the Company to meet Companies commitments with regards to performance of the Plants.
2. Monitor and guide Operation and Maintenance personnel.
3. Ensure that all Operations and Maintenance personnel are adequately trained for the functions expected of them.
4. Establish, implement and monitor preventive maintenance systems and procedures.
5. Oversee breakdown maintenance to get the Plants back in operation in minimum possible time.
6. Establish and implement systems, procedures and controls for reporting plant performance both internally and externally to the Clients and Government bodies analyzing the same.
7. Respond to both internal and external queries regarding performance of the Plants.
8. Ensure inter and intra departmental coordination.
9. Develop, maintain and monitor maintenance stock lists and implement the same.
10. Ensure required parts are ordered well in time and stocked properly.
11. Develop, implement and monitor financial controls like budgeting and monitoring of costs and inventory.
12. Timely Invoicing and payment collections for Operations and Maintenance.
13. Timely monthly energy export import readings and invoicing on behalf of Clients for payments for energy supplied, where required.
14. Develop and monitor Sub-contractors.
15. Ensure proper maintenance and timely renewal of Service Level Agreements along with contact details.
16. Ensure Plants have all required statutory compliances.
17. Ensure Plants are adequately insured and timely lodging and processing of insurance claims.
18. Provide feedback to Procurement, Projects and Directors regarding performance of various equipment and components including comparative analysis between competitive makes and suggest improvements in existing and future installations, which provide value for money.
19. Ensure departmental discipline and compliance with Company policies.
20. Manpower planning and interviews for various positions in the Department.
21. Establish, implement and monitor Safety and Security norms.
22. Be a part of the Core Team in all major inter and intra Company interactions.
Experience Required:
Strong in O & M analytical skills especially relating to the solar / similar sector.
Preferably : Govt. Retd. Officer.
