US government coming to state for greener and cleaner environment through solar & other steps: Rajasthan Solar Association
Jaipur : A Roundtable discussion was organised by Rajasthan Solar Association in partnership with Federation of Rajasthan Trade & Industries office (FORTI) today at FORTI office, Jaipur. The distinguished US government diplomats came to have a round table discussion with RSA stakeholders and state government officials. The US diplomats were:
- David Livingston- David Livingston a deputy director in the Atlantic Council’s USA-Global Energy Center and expert on climate and advanced energy.
- Catherine Fischer (Public Diplomacy Officer, North India Office, U.S. Embassy)
This innovative discussion received a great response from US government, Solar Developers, senior Government officials (RRECL, REIL, EESL, and IOCL-PCRA) and other environmental conversationalists.
The agenda was to study in Rajasthan state on following:-
The Geopolitics of the Global Energy Transition, Trade and Industrial Policy in the Energy Transition, Decarbonizing Heavy Industry, Impact of Climate Change and remedies via solar , Inclusive Growth of Solar, How we can provide benefit of solar to last part of the society, Distributed Generation via Solar
Shri A.K. Jain, Managing Director, Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) – briefed about innovative steps of REIL and state and central government to adopt electric-vehicle (for pollution free automobiles), e-mobility, e-charging and government’s aggressive steps to adopt electric vehicles
Mr. Sunit Mathur, GM from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd– briefed about state government’s initiatives on Decarbonizing Heavy Industry for cleaner environment.
Mrs. Ritu Singh, Sr. Manager (BD) from Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) briefed about EESL’s drive to bring whole nation as energy efficient country to maximum potential. Their progressive work on use of LED lights in place of CFL, tube lights and old electric bulbs.
Mr. Deepak Gupta from IOCL-PCRA briefed about their new ways of petrol and fuel conservation.
