Dresden : VSB Group’s senior management is complete: Dirk Retzlaff took over as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 1 November 2023. Retzlaff will ensure that the 15 GW wind and photovoltaic pipeline of the international renewable energy project developer remains on track and is continuously expanded.
The senior management of VSB Group under CEO Dr Felix Grolman and CFO Hartmut Lieder is getting expert reinforcement in the form of Dirk Retzlaff. As COO, the highly experienced executive will transfer strategic decisions to the operational side of the business, ensuring that current wind and photovoltaic projects are kept on track and that the already strong pipeline is consistently expanded and efficiently implemented.

About Dirk Retzlaff
Dirk Retzlaff (60) holds a degree in physics and has more than 15 years of management experience in the renewable energy field. In key positions at BayWa r.e. and juwi, Retzlaff was instrumental in the expansion of wind and photovoltaic parks and the development of foreign markets. In these management roles, he has successfully led various subsidiaries in Europe and beyond, playing a key role in shaping their strategic direction. Prior to this, he worked in the telecommunications and mechanical engineering sectors, where he gained industry experience and process expertise.
